Ja, die Stimme bitte nicht auf heavy rotation, ansonsten ein guter Song.

Der Song ist ok, kann man hören, aber mehr auch nicht. Steht aktuell auf #4 der UK Charts, war aber letzte Woche schon auf der #2.

Agree with Effluvium1 on this one. UK#1 for 7 weeks and Ireland#1.

Geweldig nummer dat doet denken aan de oude sound van Mumford & Sons en The Lumineers. Tevens de eerste nummer 1 hit van 2024. Warm gevoel.

Kann schnell nerven, ist aber wenigstens mal etwas anders.

Kann man noch hören.

Die wunderbar zirpenden Banjos sind leider sehr rar gesät in den aktuellen Single-Charts, weshalb dieses Ausnahmewerk auch speziell gewürdigt werden soll. Trotz gewöhnungsbedürftiger Stimme eine leicht abgerundete 5.

Geht gerade noch so.

Im Refrain wird die Stimme erträglicher und der Song somit solide.

Ich starte meinen Rundgang durch die wöchentlichen Neuerscheinungen (fernab des ESCs) mit einem lieben Singer-Songwriter-Folkpop, wie es ihn in den Charts aktuell eher selten, grundsätzlich aber natürlich eher im Überfluss denn in der Sparration gibt. Das Arrangement erinnert mich ein wenig an Mumford & Sons, die leicht gewöhnungsbedürftige Stimme an Passenger, insgesamt kommt da bei mir eine Nummer raus, die ich mit "Passabel." gut eingeordnet finde.

Der Song beginnt ganz sanft, entwickelt sich dann aber zu einer hektisch aufgezählten Geschichte bei der sich die Strophen überhaspeln. Die Banjobegleitung ist hübsch. Nachvollziehen kann ich, dass die Stimme nicht allen gefallen kann.

Eerlijk gezegd begrijp ik het enorme succes van dit nummer niet. Moet zo wennen aan zijn stem..

Opgekomen zonder al te veel ruchtbaarheid deze Amerikaanse songwriter.
De liedjes doen het werk wel blijkbaar om naam te maken. Een gevalletje kwaliteit komt vanzelf bovendrijven. Wat een prachtliedje is dit Stick Season. Laat hem maar meer van dit soort parels uitbrengen. Dan is zijn naam zo gevestigd.

Etwas weinerlicher Gesang, wie leider so oft in den letzten Jahren. Davon abgesehen aber ein richtig guter, leicht folkiger Song. 4,5-5*.

Als ik dit nummer nog één keer moet horen pleeg ik een misdaad. De rechter zal mijn blootstelling aan dit nummer als verzachtende omstandigheid zien

Riesen-Hit in England. In deutschland wohl nicht so erfolgreich. Aber ganz okay.

So richtig "durchgestartet" hat die Nummer hierzuland' wohl bisher nicht, ist aber ganz manierlicher Pop für das Radio und die leichte Stimmung.

Spezielle Stimme und Gesangstechnik. Ansonsten ein schönes Weihnachtslied der etwas anderen Art.
