Das hat schon Ähnlichkeiten mit Avril Lavigne. Aber ich bin schon sehr unbeeindruckt von diesem Wannabe-Popsong. Sie sollte bei Countrypop bleiben, so gefällt sie mir am besten. Aber das ist schwach. Knappe 3*

I quite like it. She's going in a different direction with this album which is nice to see, but it is not very good as a lead single. Ok I love it now and am happy for the success that it has received worldwide. It's definitely not amongst my favourites from get but it's a good effort. I just hope the whole album isn't like this.

Crap, as I expected. I feel bad for giving this 2* instead of 1*, but it is significantly better than some of astronomical scum she's unleashed on this earth (e.g. "Love Story"). Probably the best song she's ever made by her pitiable standards.

Gets annoying, listening to her saying "weeeeeEEEEEE" and "you got talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me" on repeat really gets under your skin.

EDIT: Sorry, I realised I should have rated this song on its own qualities and not in comparison to her other songs. There are songs I've rated a 2 which I feel are still much better than this. 1*.

EDIT 2: In reference to my above edit, may I just state that this is a completely terrible song, and I did not just give it a 1* just because there are songs rated 2* which are slightly better, but because this truly deserves a 1* as it completely horrible (in all truth, it deserves -∞* because it is just that horrific, but 1* is as low as this can go). This just gets worse with time, and is crap that shouldn't have charted so high. Still annoying and not catchy as ever, just a completely dire "music" experience.

Taylor Swift goes Teenpop, seltsame Wandlung, dagegen wirkte "Safe & Sound" geradezu erwachsen. Aber die Nummer macht schon Spass und geht sofort ins Ohr.

Schön - daß sie auch mal aus ihrem Country-Pop-Ghetto ausbricht und den Weg nach vorne mit kräftigerem Groove sucht - hoffentlich findet sie auch noch bessere Songs.

Really like this one, and is much better than anything from the previous album. I like the new direction she seems to be heading in, maybe I'll start to like her again.

Solid track.

Viel zu langer Songtitel, aber über den kann man getrost hinwegen sehen bei diesem süssen Pop-Song. Und ja, dass Taylor eigentlich ein Country-Act ist, hört man hier nicht mehr heraus. Ist aber nicht weiter schlimm... wird wohl ihr erfolgreichster Hit weltweit werden, nach einem Tag bereits in 22 Ländern #1 bei iTunes.

Max Martin and Shellback wrote this song with Taylor. Who would've ever thought that Taylor would ever work with them?

As a result, it doesn't sound like Taylor's previous songs, it sounds a lot like Avril Lavigne. But it's a really good song though, one of her best.

This is Avrilesque in style, but Taylor is much more talented.

Durchaus okay, wenn auch sehr Girly-like. Für die wirklich hohen Bewertungen allerdings doch eine Spur zu uninteressant.

Nicht wirklich schlecht, doch beliebiger, austauschbarer Fließbandpop aus der Werkstatt des Allzweck-Produzenten Max Martin. Hoffentlich ist die erste Single nicht repräsentativ für das ganze neue Album. Taylor hat in der Vergangenheit besseres präsentiert und hat sich durch die Zusammenarbeit mit Max Martin auf einen Holzweg begeben, von dem sie hoffentlich bald wieder zurückfindet.

Immerhin nicht so schlecht, dass es nicht für solide 4 Punkte reichen würde.

Belangloser Radio-Stampf-Pop von Swift. Gut gemeinte 3 Sterne.

Actually I really don't like this. She's had some juvenile songs in past but nothing as aggressively juvenile as this. Just comes across as annoying to me.

Fairly lame effort. Sometimes a bit catchy, but mostly annoying. Much prefer the verses over the chorus.

Ist ein bisschen weg vom Country, damit dürfte der Erfolg auch ausserhalb der USA ein bisschen grösser werden. Die Nummer kann ich mir gut anhören, ganz nett gemacht!

Taylor Swift neemt hier even afstand van haar country roots, en dat pakt verrassend goed uit! Echt moeilijk zit dit nummer niet in elkaar, maar het werkt. 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' zou wel eens Taylor's eerste echte grote hit kunnen gaan worden!

Une pop peu mature est vraiment pas très intéressante. Je devinais la mélodie du refrain en écoutant les couplets.
Une évolution dans le mauvais sens pour ma part, chère Taylor.

EDIT : On est séduit après plusieurs écoutes. Le refrain est un vrai grower.

Goed nummer, wel een beetje spijtig dat ze de hulp van Shellback en Max Martin heeft ingeroepen terwijl ze al bewezen heeft dat ze het alleen kan.

Swift wordt in Nederland nog altijd een beetje onderschat, terwijl het toch een heel goede zangeres is met leuke popliedjes. Allicht een beetje een 'guilty pleasure', maar laat dit dan haar definitieve doorbraak zijn.

ik denk niet dat dit een definitieve doorbraak gaat worden, maar we zullen zien. Van mij hoeft het niet zonodig, want dit plaatje is vrij standaard en niets bijzonders. Matig!

Anyway, this song has grown on my considerably from first listen. It is quite contagious, but I think the spoken part towards the end is unnecessary.

Hm - Klingt wie ein schwacher Abklatsch von Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne und ähnliche. Da versucht jemand mit einer Quietsch-Stimme Gute-Laune-Pop zu machen. Würde mich wundern wenn das ein Hit werden würde.

Nee, das ist nix. Blöder musikalischer Zeitgeist heutzutage. Hab' das Gefühl, dass ich so langsam auf die 100 zugehe. Aber das ist alles der gleiche Käse in den Charts derzeit. Taylor schwenkt da jetzt auch ein, wie schön. Brauch ich nicht, gefällt mir nicht.

Edit: Mittlerweile macht mir der Song ein wenig mehr Spass. Erhöhe von 2 auf 3+.

Not a fan of Taylor Swift's earlier songs, but the good thing is four albums in and a major career breakthrough in the form of Fearless, she still writes the majority of her songs by herself, and the rest are co-written.

Sounds like a 13 year old wrote it. In fact it sounds like my 14 year old sister wrote it when she was 12 and had just broken up with her boyfriend for the like ten billionth time (probably only the tenth times but you get my point :P) and thus makes me hate it more. I also hate the part when she yells Weeeeeeeee as well as the stupid lyrics.

Alles wat Taylor Swift in de Verenigde Staten uitbracht veranderde in goud maar in Europa en dus ook NL was dat nog wel anders. Deze pu nkrock-achtige single lijkt wel wat op het eerdere werk van Avril Lavigne en scoorde hier beter dan haar country singles.
